In recent years, Sunwah cooperated with local governments and state-owned enterprises to launch a number of mega infrastructure projects.
Chengdu-Europe Commodities Exchange Center, Neijiang, Sichuan
The Chengdu-Europe Commodities Exchange Centre covers 685 mu which targets the markets of Europe and Southeast Asian Nations. The project involves an investment of RMB5.1 billion which will include the establishment of the Chengdu-Europe Plus, ASEAN International Logistics Centre, International Financial Centre, Vietnam Farm Produce (Distribution) Centre and Imported Goods Direct Selling Centre.
Meishan Sichuan-Hong Kong Cooperation Demonstration Park
The first phase of a mega project involves an investment of RMB4.8 billion and covers 480 mu of land. It aims to attract more than 100 enterprises focused on Israeli and agricultural technology transfer as well as environment-friendly intelligent manufacturing. Sunwah will establish its subsidiaries bases in the Park including the Sunwah Link Exhibition Centre, the Sichuan-Chongqing headquarters, the Greater Bay Area Sichuan headquarters.
Sunwah Guangzhou-Hong Kong City
The project involves an investment of RMB10 billion including the Sunwah Guangzhou-Hong Kong City and the Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Immigration Tower. It will provide water transport, helicopter services, and hotels for commuters in the three regions. After completion, it takes within an hour to reach the Harbour City at Tsimshatsui, the Hong Kong International Airport and Macao.
China Hardware Logistics Hub
It is a grand project devised by Sunwah and the city government of Yongkang, Zhejiang Province. Located at Yongkang East Station of Jintai Railway, the project is designed to cover 8 square kilometers, and involves over RMB25 billion investment. The Hub aims to develop into a world centre for hardware trading and transport by leveraging the city's extensive highway, railway and shipping networks. It also seeks to help Zhejiang Province develop a world-class hardware industrial cluster and a model of cooperation for the Belt and Road Initiative.
Partnership with China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group
Sunwah completed a deal with China Railway Guangzhou Engineering Group to boost cooperation in retail sales, cold storage logistics and commercial property development along high-speed railways in the provinces of Guangdong, Hunan and Hainan.
